Hello everyone!

My name is Sonam Wangmo, and I’m proud to serve as a House Lead at Jane’s Care. My role is all about ensuring that my team is well-supported and equipped to provide the best support for our participants.

Working as a support worker has always been more than just a job for me—it’s a rewarding journey filled with opportunities to make a meaningful impact. My passion for understanding people’s needs led me to pursue studies in Mental Health, which have been transformative. Through this learning, I’ve gained deeper insights into how we can better support our participants and help them thrive.

One of the highlights of my journey at Jane’s Care has been the opportunity to step into the office environment. This experience gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the administrative side of things.

Seeing both sides of the puzzle—frontline support and administration—has helped me become a more well-rounded leader.

For me, being a House Lead is about more than managing a team; it’s about creating a space where both participants and staff can grow and succeed. I’m grateful for the experiences that have shaped my approach and excited to continue this journey with Jane’s Care.
